Use of Certification Mark

Rules certified organizations must follow when displaying the certification mark and promoting their certification.

Principles

  • The certification mark and certification may be used only within the scope and sites stated on the certificate.
  • Management system certification is not product certification. Do not display the mark on products or product packaging in a way that suggests the product is certified.
  • Do not promote activities, sites or products outside the scope as certified.
  • If certification is suspended, withdrawn or expires, stop using the mark and related statements immediately.

Use of the mark is checked during surveillance and recertification audits, and improper use may be grounds for suspension or withdrawal.
