CERTIFICATION PROCESS
Certification Process
ISO certification completed through a systematic process — from application, audit and certificate issuance to surveillance, step by step.
01
What is ISO certification?
ISO certification is the process of objectively auditing an organization's management system and confirming its conformity with the requirements of an international standard.
Korea Enterprise Certification carries out ISO certification step by step — from application and audit to certificate issuance and surveillance.
02
How does ISO certification work?
From preparation to certificate issuance, the steps are as follows| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| STEP 01 Application | Confirm the ISO standard and scope you want and apply. Submit the application and required documents, and confirm the basics for proceeding. |
| STEP 02 Review & contract | We review the application and scope, confirm that the audit can proceed and agree on requirements and schedule. |
| STEP 03 Audit planning | An audit plan is prepared considering the scope and management system. The schedule and what is needed are shared in advance. |
| STEP 04 Certification audit | We audit whether the management system is properly established and operated against the requirements of the ISO standard, gathering objective evidence through document and record review, site checks and interviews as needed. |
| STEP 05 Review of results | Conformity of the management system is reviewed on the basis of the audit results. Any nonconformities found are addressed and verified according to the relevant procedure. |
| STEP 06 Certificate issued | When the required steps are complete and the certification decision is made, the ISO certificate is issued, stating the scope and the applicable standard. |

After certification
Three-year certification cycleDuring the validity period, regular surveillance audits confirm that certification is maintained, and a recertification audit before expiry continues it. If your scope changes, apply for a change or extension.
