Impartiality Statement

All officers and employees of Korea Enterprise Certification (KOCI), and everyone involved in certification activities, recognize the importance of impartiality in providing certification services, identify and prevent conflicts of interest in advance to ensure the objectivity and reliability of management system certification, and hereby declare that they will observe the following and guarantee impartiality.

   We identify and address conflicts of interest that may arise throughout the process from application to issuance, ensuring the objectivity and reliability of certification.

2. 2

   As a certification body for quality, environmental, occupational health & safety and food safety management systems, we continually develop the competence of our people so that our certification is trusted by customers and stakeholders.

   We comply with established rules so that threats to impartiality — self-interest, self-review, familiarity, intimidation and certification fees — do not influence certification decisions.

   We operate an impartiality committee to keep impartiality objective and to remain a trustworthy certification body.

5. 5

   We strive to build our reputation as a fair certification body by removing risks to impartiality and meeting customer requirements.
